The Second Domaine Serene Wine Lounge is now Open in Lake Oswego

Dundee Hills Winery opening

Lake Oswego, OR
On Friday, December 6th, 2019 the world-famous Dundee Hills Winery opens its second Wine Lounge concept in the red-hot downtown Lake Oswego area. The Domaine Serene Wine Lounge in Lake Oswego is expected to be the biggest step-forward for the lakeside community’s wine and culinary scene to-date. Designed by Domaine Serene, “America’s Most Acclaimed Winery”, it will open as a neighborhood gathering place offering an elevated French-American menu created specifically to complement the highly acclaimed portfolio of wines crafted by Domaine Serene in Oregon alongside their globally recognized wineries Château de la Crée and Maison Evenstad in Burgundy.

“At our new Wine Lounge in Lake Oswego, the wine itself inspires the creation of the dishes, which are going to change twice a season,” says Domaine Serene President Ryan Harris. “Wine and food are meant to live in harmony. We have created an experience like no other. It is the ultimate way to enjoy our extensive portfolio of Oregon and Burgundian wines.”

Since the Domaine Serene Wine Lounge in Lake Oswego was designed to be an immersive wine and food sensory experience that starts with the wines, the resulting menu accentuates and highlights the quality, finesse, balance and structure found in each of their critically acclaimed wines. But don’t let the intention and attention to detail be confused with high-brow exclusivity. Rather, this experience is designed to be welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

“We want it to be the world’s most unique, enjoyable wine experience,” explains Harris. “That’s the environment we’re trying to create. It’s upscale, but it’s also comfortable, it’s not snobby, it’s not snooty, you can just come and have a glass of wine, eat and hang out as long as you want.”

Upon entry, each of your senses are met with delightful sights, sounds, smells and textures. The entire aesthetic, upscale yet warm and welcoming with an abundance of natural light, was designed using a myriad of textures – leathers, stones, stained woods, and glass - sewn together to create depth and character. Anchored in the center of the space is an inviting leather-stool lined bar with a 3,300-bottle glass wine tower that extends high above the dining room to the ceiling. The majestic display houses exclusive library wines and other offerings available on expertly prepared wine flights to be enjoyed with dinner or on their own while taking in the live music each Thursday-Sunday evening on the nearby stage in the Main Lounge.

The surrounding layout is even more engaging. Guests will want to come again and again each season to experience a variety of thoughtfully designed and welcoming settings. The Library Room is the perfect spot to entertain clients, friends and family with gorgeous private, invite-only climate-controlled wine lockers lining the walls. The Vineyard Room is breathtaking and built around a communal fireplace for those cool evenings in the Oregon fall, winter and spring months. In the summer, the Main Lounge transforms into an indoor-outdoor wine and dining experience with retractable walls and windows. The intention is to create an unparalleled, harmonious multi-sensory affair that elevates the wine experience with great music, friends and food. No matter your preference, there is a spot for everyone to enjoy.

The Library Room, Vineyard Room and Main Lounge are available for rent to host private & semi-private parties and events. A full bar is available to complement the award-winning wines on the list and bottles are offered for take-away in the thoughtfully curated wine boutique.

This truly unique, wine-first dining experience is destined to make a huge impact on the Lake Oswego culinary scene. Reservations for December are currently open and filling fast.
