Evenstad Estates Announces Landmark Burgundy Expansion

Oregon winemakers increase vineyard holdings in France’s famous Côte d’Or with 15-acre expansion, including prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits

Since its establishment three decades ago, Domaine Serene has been defined by a combination of inspiration and ambition to make the world's best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We remain committed to this vision, having produced global benchmarks for these varieties in Oregon and continue to pursue the best terroir and vineyards sites in the world, most notably through the 2015 acquisition of Burgundy’s Château de la Crée.

Today, we are proud to announce the next groundbreaking chapter in our journey: expanding into the Côte de Nuits by taking control of a long-held 15-acre family Domaine, the renowned Domaine Christian Confuron et fils estate. This expansion increases our vineyard holdings in Burgundy by 60% and adds prime vineyards in the Côte de Nuits to complement our parcels in the Côte de Beaune.

The Domaine Christian Confuron et fils estate is comprised of prestigious Grand Cru vineyard blocks in Bonnes Mares and Clos de Vougeot, Premier Cru parcels in Chambolle-Musigny and Nuits-Saint-Georges, and village blocks in Comblanchien, Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, and Premeaux-Prissey.

In addition to our enthusiasm to serve as stewards of these storied vineyards, we feel privileged to offer the resulting wines, beginning with the 2022 vintage, exclusively to our French wine club members, and to guests at our winery Clubhouse and Wine Lounges.

Expand your membership in the world's most rewarding wine club to include our French Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
