2014 Domaine Serene, 'Somm Selection' Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon

This wine is the culmination of the combined blending efforts of some of America's finest Sommelier palates. In October 2015, eight top Somms and admired leaders in the food and wine scene were hand-selected to attend the first annual Domaine Serene Somm Selection. The Somm Selection program combined a rigorous hands-on harvest training with a professional course in fine winemaking and blending, eventually yielding the wine that you are about to enjoy. Carefully hand blended by the elite Somms and our winemaking team, this wine showcases clones from The Winery Hill Estate and Two Barns Vineyard. Only 600 bottles of this rare and irreplaceable Pinot Noir were produced and bottled exclusively for the restaurants of our selected Somms.
Initial aromas of black cherry, red plum, pomegranate, and raspberry marry with notes of rose petals and lavender on the nose. Opulent and round on the palate with silky integrated tannins and notes of baking spices, dried herbs de Provence, and white pepper balance the juicy fruit characters for an elegant expression of Pinot Noir.
