2018 Maison Evenstad, Volnay Premier Cru Robardelle Pinot Noir

Proprietors of world-renowned vineyards and wineries in Oregon and Burgundy, Ken and Grace Evenstad crafted Maison Evenstad to offer collectible and extremely limited wines that showcase the rich and diverse terroir found only in Burgundy.

This small Premier Cru vineyard is in the southern part of the Volnay appellation and features rich soils with high limestone content and alluvial sediment. This acclaimed vineyard produces ethereal and high-toned wines, composed of bright red fruit and floral aromatics.

An expressive wine with a deep, dark profile, this wine has a beautiful minerality on the nose filled with raspberry leaf and dark fruit. On the palate, black cherry, lavender, and subtle notes of herbs de Provence are balanced with a rich tannin profile reminiscent of the Burgundian rock soil.
