2016 Domaine Serene, Gold Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, Oregon

The Gold Eagle Vineyard is located on the east facing slope of the Evenstad Estate in the Dundee Hills next to the Grace vineyard. The southeast-facing vineyard is planted exclusively to Pommard and Dijon Clones.

On approach, the 2016 Gold Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir delights the senses with an enticing bouquet of earthy plum and fresh violets all intertwined with notes of sweet spices and a dusting of cocoa. On the palate, the wine showcases layers of blue fruit and forest floor followed by a hint of blood orange zest. The mouthfeel is rich with silky tannins that give way to a beautifully long and lingering finish.
