2014 Domaine Serene, Etoile Vineyard Chardonnay, Dundee Hills, Oregon

Etoile, the “sunset vineyard,” is located high atop the renowned Dundee Hills of Oregon on the west-facing slope of the Evenstad Estate. This dry-farmed, three-acre vineyard ranges from 800 to 825 feet in elevation and is planted to Dijon clones in Jory soil.

The 2014 Etoile Vineyard Chardonnay features a beautiful tension and laser-like focus that we have come to know and love from this parcel. Garden fresh aromas of white flowers, lime zest, snap peas and flower stem are found on the nose, and beautiful creamy characteristics meet a bright acidity to fill the palate. Supple and generous, the wine carries through with extended texture on the palate and extraordinary length.
